Ikon Science approached us to evaluate the revamp of their existing site. They wanted to discuss a complete design and functionality overhaul, and initially we provided an indepth consultation and site review of their existing site.

Once we had produced the site review which included a list of recommendations, we sat down with Ikon and went through the site step by step. We stopped at each opportunity to discuss features they liked on other websites, the sort of functionality they felt their existing clients needed, as well as discussing in depth the functionality and content needed to provide the right information to potential customers visiting the site for the first time.

We put together an in depth specification document for Ikon, and again sat down to run through all the relevant details included in the design (which included full timescales and a quotation). We provided an initial draft of the design which allowed us to include this in our discussions. Once we had reviewed everything we made all the final adjustments we needed; we then got the go ahead on the project and we started work.

We put together a comprehensive content management system, completely custom coded and created for Ikon Science's exact needs. We put together a system allowing them to host online videos which were uploaded by Ikon in one format but then made available (after our system does the re-encoding) in multiple formats and resolutions.

We created other custom features on the front end and backend, including News & Press release system, jobs system, offices management (including integration into Google maps to show their worldwide office locations) and much more.

Finally, we provided search engine optimisation for Ikon, to bring them to the top of the search engines for many terms in their industry, including rock science software.
